This autumn, Gi.Metal will return to the small screen in the setting of two TV programmes dedicated to catering: Master Pizza Champion and Casa Esposito. A wide selection of professional pizza tools by Gi.Metal will accompany the star pizza makers in their culinary challenges and demonstrations.
Master Pizza Champion
Gi.Metal and RedBox will be sponsors of the 9th edition of Master Pizza Champion, the TV contest entirely dedicated to pizza from a professional point of view. The competing professional pizza makers are in fact called upon not only to prepare pizzas, but also and above all to demonstrate their extensive knowledge of the art of baking, in both theory and practice. The programme is produced by Accademia Group and includes six TV episodes that will be aired on Sky channel 913 every Monday evening from 7 October to 11 November.
Once the free-to-air broadcasts are over, the episodes will then be available on the programme’s website. The aim of Master Pizza Champion is to identify the most accomplished pizza chef from among the selected finalists. The jury will be made up of highly qualified professionals from the sector and will be called upon to evaluate the participants' performance from various points of view: from the various types of dough and pizza (in pan, on pizza peel, gluten-free, Neapolitan...) to toppings, from combinations to pressure tests with timed challenges. In addition to the craftsmanship of each participant, the 'secret weapons' provided will be Gi.Metal tools and peels, each with its own characteristics and special features depending on the contest. To support the pizza makers, we will use the technology of the Evoluzione peel, but also the strength of the Napoli peel, the protagonist of the episode dedicated to traditional Neapolitan pizza. To see the Gluten Free peel in action with its unmistakable green handle, on the other hand, you must not miss the episode dedicated to doughs, where the competing pizza chefs will compete on the best preparation using special and gluten-free flours.
Finally, RedBox will also play its part in the show, in the delivery episode. If the ability of the heated oven to keep pizzas hot is undisputed, will selected pizza makers be able to prepare a dough and topping suitable for take-away? Casa Esposito
Gi.Metal will also be a partner of the Casa Esposito programme. The location chosen for the programme will be the Ristorante Antonino Esposito, in the heart of Sorrento. In terms of professional equipment, at Casa Esposito the Napoli peel will be central. Participants will in fact use it to prepare real Neapolitan pizza, displaying knowledge and skill in each demonstration. For Gi.Metal this is an unmissable opportunity to show all the practicality, technology and quality of Napoli to a new and enthusiastic audience, presenting it as the most suitable and complete tool for pizza makers who follow the Neapolitan method of pizza making.
